Winter Range Estimator
Estimate how cold weather reduces your EV’s practical driving range.

How this works
We estimate driving range by dividing usable battery capacity by energy consumption, then multiplying by 100. Cold weather can increase consumption because of cabin heating, battery conditioning and reduced battery efficiency.
Normal range = usable battery capacity ÷ normal consumption × 100. Winter consumption = normal consumption × (1 + winter increase ÷ 100 + driving adjustment ÷ 100). Winter range = usable battery capacity ÷ winter consumption × 100.
The winter increase and driving adjustment are separate estimated changes to normal consumption, not measured vehicle data. Your actual range also depends on speed, tyres, elevation and temperature.
